"Uncle" Marvin Allee, Sr., 80, of Pleasant Hill, Missouri, was born Saturday, November 27, 1926 in Kingsville, Missouri, the son of William S. and Edith V. (Paul) Allee, he departed this life Friday, October 5, 2007 at his home in Pleasant Hill.
On June 13, 1954, William was united in marriage to Dorothy E. Taylor in Independence, Missouri.
He was a veteran of the United States Army.
Marvin was a Sanitation Worker for McDowell's Trash Service in Independence retiring in 1987.
Besides his parents, he was preceded in death by his wife, a step-daughter Peggy Schornhorst, 5 brothers, 1 sister and 2 step-brother's.
He is survived by his son William M. Allee, Jr. of Independence; his daughter Arlowa Schornhorst and her husband George of Independence; step-son David Morris of Blue Springs; 3 Brothers Roy Allee of Pleasant Hill, Lee Allee of Kingsville, and LeRoy Allee and his wife Florence of Lexington; 2 sisters Edith Vermillon and her husband Jack of Hope, AR, and Rosemary McGinness of Independence; several grandchildren and great-grandchildren; several special nieces and nephews; other relatives and many, many friends.
Graveside services were held Saturday, October 13, 2007, at Mount Washington Cemetery, Independence, MO, Reverend Jerry McDowell officiated. Casket bearers were Mark Adams, Don Allee, Scott Allee, Bill Fleener, Pete Shelton, and Jim Whitlesey. Military graveside services were provided by VFW post #3118, Pleasant Hill.
Memorial contributions are suggested to Hospice House and may be sent in care of the funeral home.
