Troy Lawrence Dinges, 39, of Pleasant Hill, was born March 31, 1975, in Harrisonville. He departed this life unexpectedly Sunday, July 13, 2014, at the Truman Medical Center, Kansas City, as a result of heart problems.
Troy was a 1993 Pleasant Hill High School Graduate.
He has been employed as a van driver and dispatcher for the Adessa Auto Auction for over 20 years.
Troy was kind and gentle person who was well respected by many; especially with older people. He loved animals; especially his cats. He also loved country music, boating, dirt biking and four wheeling.
Troy is survived by his father and stepmother Patrick and Michele Dinges of Holden; his mother Mary (Gentry) Elliott of Lake Pomme de Terre; a half-brother Ronald (and Erika) Hayes of North Kansas City; a half sister Jennifer (and Phillip) Fleming of Pleasant Hill; one step-sister Jennifer (and Austin) Hodson of Seoul, South Korea; one step-brother Devin (and Lauren) Freed; several aunts and uncles; other relatives; and a host of friends.
Visitation was held Friday, July 18, 2014, at the funeral home.
Funeral service were held Saturday, July 19, 2014, at the funeral home. Reverend D. Kent Deubner officiated. Interment was in the Pleasant Hill Cemetery. Casket bearers were Clint Dinges, Frank Dinges, Todd Dinges, Brian Edwards, Ronnie Hayes, and Damon Smythia.
Memorial contributions are suggested to the Pleasant Hill Meals on Wheels and may be sent in care of the funeral home.
