Tomas "Fuzzy" C. Poindexter, of Pleasant Hill, Missouri, was born Sunday, December 4, 1938 in Reno, Nevada, the son of Clifford and Virginia Poindexter. He departed this life Saturday, February 24, 2007 at his home near Pleasant Hill, at the age of 68 years, 2 months and 20 days.
Thomas was an over the road truck driver for the Monfort Meat Packing plant in Greeley, Colorado. He served his country by enlisting in the Army and serving from 1956-1960. He has been active in boy scouts for over 45 years
He was preceded in death by his mother and his son Jimmy Gene Poindexter who died February 22, 2007.
He is survived by his daughter, Brenda and her husband Rick O'Kane, Pleasant Hill; 3 sons, Thomas, Pleasant Hill, Sam, Wellington, Colorado and Clifford, of Arizona; 4 Grandchildren, 2 great grandchildren; other relatives and many friends.
Cremation has been accorded. A memorial service was held Wednesday, February 28, 2007, at the Stanley-Dickey Funeral Home, Pleasant Hill, Mr. Sam Davis and Mr. John Modlin officiated. Military honors were provided by the Pleasant Hill VFW Post #3118 Honor Guard.
