Terry L. Mason

Terry Lynn Mason, 67, of Pleasant Hill, was born November 28, 1957, in Kansas City, Missouri, the daughter of Jack C. and Lucille (Moore) Moore. She departed this life Friday, March 21, 2025, at her home surrounded with love and family.

On December 12, 1975, she was united in marriage to Michael John Mason in Kansas City. He preceded her in death on December 3, 2022.

In 1978, Terry and Mike, established Mason Exterminating in Belton and ran their business together until his death in 2022. She also loved decorating cakes and operated M&M Cake Decorating for many years. Following the disappearance of Kara Kopetsky in 2007 she founded the Find Kara Kopetsky group which helped keep the search going for over ten years. She loved cooking and you never left her home without something to eat. She also enjoyed going to the boats and spending time with her family, especially her grandchildren.

Terry was preceded in death by her parents; husband, Mike Mason, Sr.; and four siblings, Dennis Moore, Mark Moore, Ronald Moore, and Penny Sheridan.

She is survived by her three children, Michael J. (and Chelsea) Mason, Jr. of Harrisonville, Missouri, Roy James Mason of Belton, and Jacquelin Michelle Mason of Pleasant Hill; seven grandchildren, Paige Hill, Hailey Mason, Caleb Mason, Landon Matlock, Alexis Matlock, Carson Matlock, and Makayla Gaston; one great grandson Jaxen Laundy; other relatives and friends.

Visitation will be held 9:00 to 10:00 a.m. Saturday, March 29, 2025, at the funeral home.

Funeral services will be held at 10:00 a.m. Pastor Janice Hill will officiate. Interment will be in the Staley Mound Cemetery. Casket bearers are Jacquelin Mason, Roy Mason, Carson Matlock, Landon Matlock, Makayla Gaston, and Tristen D’Ambra.

Memorial contributions are suggested to the Pleasant Hill Animal Shelter and may be sent in care of the funeral home.
