Teresa Chartier

Teresa A. Chartier, 85, of Lee's Summit, Missouri, formerly of Pleasant Hill was born Wednesday, December 28, 1921 in Pleasant Hill, Missouri, the daughter of William A. and Myra A. (Mooney) Shires. She departed this life Friday, November 9, 2007 at the Lee's Summit Medical Center.

On July 24, 1959, Teresa was united in marriage to Joseph R. Chartier in Independence, Missouri

Teresa was a Quality Assurance Inspector for Lake City in Independence for many years. She was a member of St. Bridget Catholic Church.

She was preceded in death by her parents, husband and three brothers.

She is survived by her son Larry Gray and his wife Linda of Climax Springs, Missouri; 2 grandchildren; 2 great-grandchildren, 1 great-great grandchild, several nieces & nephews; other relatives and many friends.

Funeral services were held Wednesday, November 14, 2007, at St. Bridget Catholic Church, Pleasant Hill. Monsignor Robert Murphy and Reverend Joseph Cisetti officiated. Cremation rites have been accorded, a private burial of ashes will be held in the Strasburg Cemetery at a later date.

Memorial contributions are suggested to the St. Bridget Catholic Church Building Fund and may be sent in care of the funeral home.
