Sharlot May Renfro, 75, of Kansas City, Missouri, was born, July 25, 1940, in Gainesville, Missouri, the daughter of Ode Britain and Lucy Jane (Coy) Beasley. She departed this life Thursday, August 27, 2015, at the Saint Luke's North Hospital in Kansas City.
In 1955, she was united in marriage to Arthur T. Miller, Jr. in Gainesville and to this union 4 children, Barbara, Arthur (Tom) Miller, III, Penny, and Janet were born. They later divorced. In 1982, she was united in marriage to Billy Ellifrits, in Miami, Oklahoma. They later divorced.
Sharlot was a residential Real Estate Agent for Century 21 Klahn & Associates in Lee's Summit for many years; prior to that she sold shoes for the Hartzfelds and Stix Baer & Fuller Department stores. She enjoyed playing the guitar and singing bluegrass music with family & friends. She also liked fishing, cooking and baking, which were all made by scratch. Also, last but not least--by far--was Sharlots never ending shopping quests for that perfect pair of shoes!!
Sharlot was preceded in death by one daughter, Barbara McCubbin; one grandson, Hayden Hargrave; three brothers, Elmer Beasley, Tony Beasley, and James Beasley; and one sister, Hazel Crowley.
She is survived by two daughters, Janet (and Jerry) Hargrave of Liberty, and Penny Feagans (and fiancAC. Woodrow Sunderland) of Gladstone; one son, Arthur Thomas (and Dani) Miller, III, of Riverside, Missouri, and Robert McCubbin of Olathe; 6 grandchildren, Kristen (and Jason) Jarvis, Zachary Feagans, Austin (and Alyssa) Feagans, Payton Hargrave, Paige (and Cole) Cross, and Whitney McCubbin; 7 great grandchildren, Wyatt and Sydney Jarvis, Keira Feagans, Kaelynn Feagans, Kameron Hargrave, Easton Feagans and Callie Cross; one brother, Orlin, (and Maxine) Beasley of Clever; one sister-in-law; Fern Beasley of Gainesville; several nieces and nephews; other relatives and many friends.
Visitation was held Sunday, August 30, at the funeral home.
Graveside funeral services wre held Monday, August 31, at the Lee's Summit Cemetery. Reverend D. Kent Deubner of the Pleasant Hill First Christian Church officiated. Casket bearers were Austin Feagans, Zachary Feagans, Payton Hargrave, Jerry Hargrave, Robert McCubbin, and Woodrow Sunderland.
