Sandra Kay Wurtz, 58, of Pleasant Hill, Missouri, was born Thursday, November 13, 1952 in Kansas City, Missouri, the daughter of Floyd M. "Buck" and Alice E. (Stubbs) Bogart. She departed this life at 8:25 p.m. on Saturday, February 12, 2011 at the Lee's Summit Medical Center surrounded by her family.

On April 17, 1971, Sandra was united in marriage to Gary L. Wurtz in Long Beach, California.

Sandra was employed as a Medical Assistant for Humana Prime Health until failing health forced her to retire in 1997. She was baptized in the RLDS church.

Besides her parents, she was also preceded in death by one brother John Bogart. She is survived by her husband Gary of the home; three sons Ray (and Stephanie) Wurtz of Lee's Summit, Eric Wurtz of Blue Springs, and Keith (and Carmen) Wurtz of Lee's Summit; four grandchildren Michelle, Rachel, Bradley, and Alicia; one sister Marti (and Dennis) Schuller of Lee's Summit; other relatives and friends.

Visitation was held Wednesday evening, February 16, 2011, at the funeral home.

Private graveside services were held in the Pleasant Hill Cemetery.
