Rosemarie I. Garcia

Rosemarie Irene “Rosie” Garcia, 31, of Pleasant Hill, Missouri, was born October 15, 1992, in San Bernadino, California.  She departed this life Sunday, February 4, 2024, at the Lee’s Summit Medical Center with her husband Michael by her side.

Growing up she split her time living between Pleasant Hill and Ogden and Eden, Utah.  While living in Pleasant Hill she loved working with her grandparents at their restaurant in downtown Pleasant Hill.

Rosie was a homemaker. She loved cooking and her family fondly remembers her singing and dancing while preparing their meals.  She was her two sons’ strongest supporter and the loudest spectator in all their activities. She loved her family with all her heart and soul.  She also loved to go fishing.

Rosie was preceded in death by an infant daughter, Chloe and her maternal grandmother, Lola Barbarick.

She is survived by her husband Michael J. Dickey of Pleasant Hill; two sons, Gabriel Dickey and William Dickey of Pleasant Hill; her mother, Tracy Goin of Independence; maternal grandfather, Darell Barbarick of Pleasant Hill; three siblings, Isaac (and Maggie) Garcia of Pleasant Hill, Sarah Rich and Candence Rich, both of Independence; other relatives and friends.

Visitation and funeral services were held Saturday, February 10, 2024, at the Pleasant Hill First Christian Church.  Reverend D. Kent Deubner officiated.  Interment was in the Pleasant Hill Cemetery.  

Memorial contributions are suggested to her Children's Education Fund and may be sent in care of the funeral home.
