Richard W. Mehroff

Richard Wayne Mehroff, 79, of Pleasant Hill, was born June 28, 1944, in Chamois, Missouri.  He departed this life Monday, December 18, 2023, at his home surrounded with love and family.

Richard was employed as a dishwasher for the Government Service Agency and the Internal Revenue Service in Kansas City.  He most recently worked in the kitchen at the Pleasant Hill Health and Rehabilitation Center. He enjoyed fishing and time spent with family.

Richard never knew his parents and at a young age was taken in by Allen and Lillian Smith.  Although never legally adopted he always considered them to be his parents and their children his siblings.

He was preceded in death by Allen and Lillian Smith and his sister, Mary Ann Cumpton

He is survived by his siblings Allen Dale Smith of Pleasant Hill and Linda Ann Johnson of Bates City; their children; other relatives and friends.

Cremation has been accorded. No services are scheduled.
