Reverend Fred Junior Sulser, of St. Joseph, Missouri, formerly of Harrisonville was born Saturday, June 14, 1924 in Harrisonville, Missouri, the son of Frederick F. and Hazel L. (Stice) Sulser. He departed this life Friday, February 23, 2007 at the Shepherd's Residential, St. Joseph, Missouri at the age of 82 years, 8 months and 9 days.

On October 11, 1945, Fred was united in marriage to LaVerne V. Sulser in Pleasant Hill.

He was a WWII veteran serving as a Corporal in the Army Air Corps.

Fred was a Precision Tool Grinder for Allied Signal. He became a Baptist minister and was ordained at the Creighton Baptist Church on May 1, 1966. He was a member of the Harrisonville First Baptist Church . He was preceded in death by his parents and his wife.

He is survived by 2 daughters, Pamela S. Keefer, St. Joseph, Missouri, and Cathy A. Sulser, Friendswood, TX; 2 Sisters, Maxine Hoffman, Kansas City, Missouri, and Gracie Webster, Harrisonville, Missouri; 3 Grandchildren, 2 Great Grandchildren; other relatives and many friends.

Funeral services were held Tuesday, February 27, 2007, at the Stanley-Dickey Funeral Home, Pleasant Hill. Reverend's Charles Sutton and David Noble officiated. Burial was in the Pleasant Hill Cemetery, with full military honors provided by VFW Post #3118 Honor Guard. Pall bearers werw J. Michael Hoffman, Phillip Hoffman, Monte Hoskey, Kyle J. Keefer, David Sulser, and F. Ellis Webster.
