Randall Baker

Randall Harold "Randy" Baker, of Pleasant Hill, Missouri, was born March 13, 1954 in Humansville, Missouri, the son of Bud and Jo Francis (Bays) Baker. He departed this life Tuesday, October 10, 2006 from injuries sustained in an automobile accident at the age of 52 years, 6 months and 27 days.

On August 27, 2004, Randy was united in marriage to Virginia Louise Shrum in Harrisonville, Missouri.

Randy was a retired member of the Local #3133 International Association of Fire Fighters. He was employed for over 20 years at the Pleasant Hill Fire and Rescue and was the last elected Coroner in Cass County. He was a member of the First Baptist Church, Pleasant Hill. Randy moved to Pleasant Hill in 1962.

He is survived by a son, Jesse Tyler Baker, Hunter Army Airfield, Savannah, Georgia; a daughter, Kathryn Michelle Baker, Harrisonville, Missouri; his parents, Bud and Jo Baker and a brother, Ron Baker DMV and wife Lori, all of Pleasant Hill, Missouri; a sister, Cheri Wilburn and husband Randy, Archie, Missouri; two nieces, Samantha and Sara; two nephews, Philip and Grant; other relatives and many friends.

Funeral services were held, Saturday, October 16, 2006 at the Strasburg Baptist Church, Strasburg, Missouri with burial in the Pleasant Hill Cemetery, Pleasant Hill, Missouri.

Family suggests memorial contributions may be made to the Missouri Children's Baptist Home or to the Kathryn Michelle Baker College Fund.
