Nicholis Rogers

Nicholis Gregory Rogers, 30, of Pleasant Hill, Missouri, was born Wednesday, January 3, 1979 in Harrisonville, Missouri, the son of Gregory J. and Belva J. (Hart) Rogers. He departed this life Sunday, December 27, 2009 at his home with his fiancAC.e and parents by his side.

Nicholis was an Ironworker with Local #10, and a member of the Community of Christ Church in Pleasant Hill.

He was a loving father, son, brother, and uncle. He loved the outdoors and spending time with his family. He was a proud Iron Worker and will be truly missed by all who knew him.

He is survived by his son Gage Vann-Rogers of North Kansas City; parents Greg & Belva Rogers of Pleasant Hill; fiancAC.e SeAnna Shepard of Pleasant Hill; 2 brothers Trenton Rogers and Lindi of Lone Jack and Logan Rogers and Joanna of Lee's Summit, Missouri; nieces and nephews Jillian, Ethan, Jacinda, and Ashlee; paternal grandparents Duane and Gail Rogers of Pleasant Hill; maternal grandparents Vernon D. and LaVoy Hart of Pleasant Hill; several aunts and uncles; other relatives and a host of friends.

Funeral services were held Monday, January 4, 2009, at the Community of Christ Church in Pleasant Hill. Evangelist Don Carlile minister of the church officiated. Interment was in the Strasburg Cemetery. Casket bearers were Tyler Hensley, Caleb Rogers, Cameron Rogers, Gage Vann-Rogers, Logan Rogers, Trent Rogers, Matt Rosanbalm and Corey Rosanbalm. Honorary casket bearers were Nathan Carlile, Emily Divine, Dave Fizer, Michael Francy, Rebecca Hensley, Robert McCoy, Bobby Player, and Steve Williams

Memorial contributions are suggested to the Nicholis Rogers Memorial Fund which has been set up at the Pleasant Hill Bank and may be sent in care of the funeral home.
