Mary Lee Goble, 78, of Holden, Missouri, formerly of Lee's Summit was born Monday, May 5, 1930 in St. Louis, Missouri the daughter of Joseph E. and Esther M. (Boling) Weigel. She departed this life Saturday, December 27, 2008 at the Holden Manor Care Center in Holden, Missouri.
On December 3, 1946, Mary was united in marriage to John E. Goble in Kansas City, Missouri.
Mary was an Administrative Secretary for the Lee's Summit United Methodist Church; she had also been a secretary for the Lee's Summit High School. She was a member of the Aldersgate United Methodist Church and Professional Organization of Methodist Secretaries.
Besides her parents, she was preceded in death by her sister Jo Ellen Weigel. She is survived by her husband John of Lee's Summit; one son Richard L. Goble (and Juanita) of Cedar Creek, Texas; three daughters Christine Morley (and Miles) of Shawnee, Kansas, Alice L. Yates (and Steve) of Kingfield, Maine, and Ruth Wilson of Holden, Missouri; 8 grandchildren; 7 great grandchildren; other relatives and friends.
Funeral services were held Saturday, January 3, 2009, at the Aldersgate United Methodist Church in Lee's Summit. Reverend Bob Daniel officiated. Interment was in the Wesley Chapel Cemetery near Kingsville, Missouri. Casket bearers were James Goble, Kyle Goble, Ted Goble, Chad Morley, Miles Morley, and Josh Wilson.
Memorial contributions are suggested to the Aldersgate United Methodist Church and may be sent in care of the funeral home.
