Mary Dinges

Mary Kay Dinges, 58, of Pleasant Hill, Missouri, was born Thursday, June 2, 1949 in St. Louis, Missouri, the daughter of David W. and Patsy L. (Griffin) Lucas. She departed this life Saturday, February 2, 2008 at her home near Pleasant Hill.

On September 24, 1967, Kay was united in marriage to Larry E. Dinges in Pleasant Hill.

Kay was a Cook for the Pleasant Hill Schools for over 25 years, retiring in February 2006. She was a member of Beta Sigma Phi and the Pleasant Hill United Methodist Church.

She enjoyed spending time with her family, gardening and smelling the roses.

She was preceded in death by her parents.

She is survived by her loving husband, Larry Dinges, of the home; 2 sons Clint Dinges and his wife Rachel of Pleasant Hill, and Matt Dinges and his wife Wendy of Lakeland, Georgia; 1 daughter Mary Hulett and her husband Roger of Lake Ozark, Missouri; 11 grandchildren (the lights of her life) Connor and Sydney Hulett of Lake Ozark; Shawna and Cassie Dinges of Harrisonville; Amanda and Nicolette McDavitt, Emme Jo and Jaxton Dinges all of Pleasant Hill; and Cole, Jenna and Rylee Dinges of Lakeland, Georgia; 1 brother John Lucas and his wife Sharon of Harrisonville; her mother-in-law Irene Dinges of Pleasant Hill; other relatives and many friends.

Funeral Services were held Wednesday, February 6, 2008 at the Stanley-Dickey Funeral Home. Reverend Jerry Daily officiated. Burial was in the Pleasant Hill Cemetery. Casket bearers were Jake Alig, Todd Dinges, Troy Dinges, David Gerken, Connor Hulett, and Paul Miller. Memorial Contributions are suggested to Cancer Action, Inc. and may be sent in care of the funeral home.
