Martha A. Shore, 80, of Kingsville, Missouri, was born Sunday, July 31, 1927, in Kansas City, Missouri, the daughter of Orrison and Anna Maud (Bucholtz) Whisler. She departed this life Friday, April 18, 2008 at St. Luke's Hospital-East, Lee's Summit, Missouri.

In November 1946, she was united in marriage to Norman Glen Shore in Oklahoma.

Martha was a homemaker. She was a former member of Rebekah Lodge #398, Holden, the Strasburg Community Club, and the Strasburg Garden Club. She had also been a secretary for the Strasburg School for many years.

Besides her parents, she was preceded in death by a grandson Robbie Shore and her brother Tony Whisler.

She is survived by her husband of 62 years Glen Shore, Kingsville, 2 sons Robert Glen Shore and his wife Patricia A. and Tony Shore and his wife Brenda, both of Kingsville; 1 daughter Linda A.Tye and her husband William of Evansville, Indiana; 8 grandchildren Kimberly, Steven, Martin, Sarah, Lisa Cathy, Brooke and Codie; 13 great-grandchildren; 3great-great grandchildren; other relatives and friends.

Funeral services were held Tuesday, April 22, 2008 at the Stanley-Dickey Funeral home. Reverend Darrell "Butch" Shewmaker officiated. Burial was in Strasburg Cemetery. Casket bearers were Kimberly Garner, Steven Shore, Martin Shore, Sarah Tye, Lisa Meeks, Cathy Van Hoesen, Brook Colvin, and Codie Shore.

Memorial contributions are suggested to St. Judes Hospital and may be sent in care of the funeral home.
