Marjorie Jane Alley, 90, of Cameron, Missouri, formerly of Pleasant Hill, was born Thursday, May 13, 1920 in Pleasant Hill, the daughter of Herman L. and Edna Eloise (Schader) Schindorff. She departed this life at 3:06 p.m. on Wednesday, October 6, 2010 her home in Cameron surrounded by her family.
On, July 23, 1943 Marjorie was united in marriage to Walter Loren Alley in Kansas City, Missouri.
Marjorie was a 1938 Pleasant Hill High School Graduate. Early in her working career she was employed as a beautician at the Peck's department store in Kansas City; later she went to work for the Cameron Mutual Insurance Company, where she worked until her retirement in 1976.
She was an active member of the First Baptist Church of Cameron where she served in many capacities including serving as a Sunday School Teacher for the Special Helpers class for over thirty five years. She was also a former member of the Cameron Eastern Star.
She was preceded in death by her parents.
She is survived by her husband Loren of the home; two daughters, Gayla Moore of Cameron and Lanette Middaugh of Kansas City, Missouri,; three grandchildren Chuck Moore and his wife Natalie of New Bloomfield, Missouri; Chris Middaugh and his wife Misty of Kansas City, Missouri, and Isabella Middaugh also of Kansas City; five great grandchildren; other relatives and many friends.
Graveside funeral Services will be held at 3:00 P.M., on Saturday, October 9, 2010 at the Pleasant Hill Cemetery. Pastor Casey Joyce of the First Baptist Church of Cameron will officiate.
Memorial contributions are suggested to the Cameron Developmental Center and may be sent in care of the funeral home.
