MARARETTE FINDLEY
Margarette Findley, 76, of Centerview, Missouri, was born July 27, 1942, in Camdenton, Missouri, the daughter of Robert “Freddie” and Mildred Rose (Wilson) Kincaid. She departed this life, Wednesday, March 6, 2019, at the Research Medical Center, Kansas City, surrounded with love and family.
Margarette was a 1961 Camdenton High School graduate.
On July 22, 1962, she was united in marriage to Lonnie Findley in Camdenton; they later divorced.
Margarette was first employed by AT&T in Lee’s Summit. In the mid 1980’s following a layoff from AT&T she opened and operated a beauty salon in her home in Pleasant Hill. She loved playing domino’s, playing cards, shopping at antique stores, collecting Princess House crystal, and watching hummingbirds. She most enjoyed visiting and spending time with family and friends.
Margarette was preceded in death by her parents; one son Wayne Findley; her brother Arville Kincaid; and one sister, Carolyn Thurn.
She is survived by one son, Rod (and Kim) Findley of Pleasant Hill; one daughter, Karen (and Vince) Cummings of Centerview; five grandchildren, Rachel (and Brad) Mitchell of Kingsville, Tony (and Tori) Findley of Gladstone, Kayla (and K.J.) Robling of Pleasant Hill, Dillon Findley of Pleasant Hill, and Keara Griffith of Warrensburg; six great grandchildren, Brent, Morgan, Deegan, Reed, Gracyn, and Easton; one sister, Donna Rose Collins of Raytown; other relatives and friends.
A celebration of life dinner was held Saturday, March 9, 2019, at Brinkoetters Big Iron Town, Pleasant Hill.
