Lowell W. Benware, 73, of Pleasant Hill, Mo, was born Tuesday, June 15, 1937 in Sedalia, Mo, the son of Bernie Lee and Rose Mary (Wood) Benware. He departed this life Tuesday, February 8, 2011 at the Pleasant Hill Health & Rehabilitation Center.
Lowell spent most of his life traveling extensively through the United States, never really calling any one particular place home, until he returned to Missouri about five years ago. One of his favorite places was the mountains of Colorado. His occupations were varied, but he did enjoy ten years as a Chef in New York City. He was a member of the Olive Branch Baptist Church in Smithton.
Besides his parents, he was also preceded in death by two brothers John Bernie Wood and Eddie Gale Wood.
He is survived by two brothers Robert Benware of Pleasant Hill and Roy Benware of Kingsville; one sister Rosa Lee (and Walter) Wesemann of Harrisonville; numerous nieces and nephews; other relatives and friends.
Per Lowell's wishes cremation has been accorded and no services are scheduled.
