Louis Marion Brown, 91, of Kansas City, Missouri, was born October 26, 1932, in Leavenworth, Kansas. He departed this life, Friday, July 26, 2024, at Lee’s Summit Medical Center.
Louis was a United States Army Korean War Veteran.
In 1984 he met Emma O’Bryant, and they became lifelong companions. She preceded him in death just a few months earlier in March 2024.
Louis worked for the United States Postal Service in Kansas City for his entire career. He loved music and could play any instrument but was fond of the saxophone and piano and was always humming a catchy tune. He enjoyed cooking for Emma and taking care of her.
Louis is survived by Emma’s children Kaye (and Steve) Miller, of Haysville, Kansas and Mike (and Rochelle O’Bryant of Missoula Montana. Kaye and Steve’s children Amy Decker of Greenwood Missouri, Avary Roach (and Derek) of Derby Kansas, and Pasha Miller (and Brice Horsley) of Sedgwick, Kansas.
Cremation has been accorded.
Inurnment with full military honors will be in the Kansas Veterans Cemetery at Winfield on Friday, August 9, 2024, at 2:00 p.m.
