LOREN L. “LES” FENTON
Loren Lester “Les” Fenton, Jr., 88, of Pleasant Hill, Missouri, was born, January 13, 1932, in Pleasant Hill, the son of Loren Lester and Eunice (Pilcher) Fenton, Sr. He departed this life, Saturday, January 9, 2021, at the Liberty Hospital, Liberty, Missouri.
On May 7, 1951, he was united in marriage to Christine Lewis Bowman in Butler, Missouri. She preceded him in death on October 6, 1978.
Les had been employed as a Police Officer for the cities of Pleasant Hill, Knob Noster, and Lake Winnebago. He had also served with the motorcycle police division in Kansas City. He was also a jack-of-all-trades and gifted in all trades including painting and car repair. He enjoyed riding horses, motorcycle riding, fishing, and watching wrestling. He especially loved spending time with family and his dog Missy.
Les was also preceded in death by his parents, and one daughter, Charlotte Ann Stewart.
He is survived by one daughter, Jeanette Lynn Stewart of Butler; one brother, Kenneth R. (and Diane) Fenton of Saraland, Alabama; two sisters, Shirley J. Welch of Oklahoma City, Oklahoma, and Thelma F. George of Spanish Fort, Alabama; 2 Grandchildren; 1 great grandchild; other relatives and friends.
Cremation has been accorded.
Funeral services were held Wednesday, April 28, 2021, at the funeral home. Reverend D. Kent Deubner officiated. Inurnment was in the Pleasant Hill Cemetery.
Visitation was held one hour prior to the service.
