LOIS E. ERVIN
Lois Eileen Ervin, 73, of Pleasant Hill, Missouri, was born, May 31, 1948, in Kansas City, Missouri, the daughter of Albert J. and Mearle A. (Zook) Haegele. She departed this life, Monday, December 6, 2021, at her home surrounded with love and family.
Lois was a 1966 William Chrisman High School graduate.
In July 1966 she was united in marriage to R.L. Cooper in Great Falls, Montana: they later divorced. On September 23, 1994, she was united in marriage to Timothy A. Ervin in Pleasant Hill.
Lois was a loving Wife, Mother, and Grandmother. She was a member of the Pleasant Hill Piece Makers, the Lee’s Summit Quilting Guild, and the Pleasant Hill United Methodist Church. She enjoyed quilting, fishing, cooking, flowers, and traveling (especially the beach); she most enjoyed spending time with her grandchildren.
Lois was preceded in death by her parents and one grandson, Jacob Cotter.
She is survived by her husband, Tim of the home; three children, Sheila (and Norman) Larkey of Belton, Galen Cooper of Pleasant Hill, and April (and Jeff) Cotter of Kingsville; three stepchildren, Chris Ervin of Kansas City, April Ervin of Northmoor, and Staci (and Daniel) Diamond of Belton; 13 grandchildren, Jason (and Laurie) Mossey, Rebekah (and Shawn Haffa) Mossey, Jennifer (and Carlos Chavez) Mossey, Whitney (and James) Ferm, Megan (and Cameron Abernathy) Cotter, Tabitha Cotter, Coressa (and Ryan) Hart, Caitlynn (and Tucker) Ervin, Caleb (and Cristina) Ervin, Colton (and Elizabeth) Slayden, Carson Ervin, Xavier Diamond, and Elijah Diamond; five great grandchildren, Leticia, Amelia, Cassidy, Theodore, and Samuel; two half-siblings, Mark (and Dee) Weisbach of Cannon City, Colorado and Terry Maggard of Belton; 2 sisters-in-law, Lynne (and Matt) Liley and Donna Wendell (and Jeff Miller), of Pleasant Hill; several nieces; other relatives and friends.
Visitation was held Sunday, December 12, 2021, at the funeral home.
Funeral services were held Monday, December 13, 2021, at the funeral home. Reverend James Stanfield-Myers officiated. Burial was in the Strasburg Cemetery. Casket bearers were Galen Cooper, Jeff Cotter, Caleb Ervin, Norman Larkey, Jason Mossey, and Colton Slayden. Honorary casket bearer was Mark Weisbach.
Memorial contributions are suggested to Pleasant Hill Food Pantry or Meals on Wheels and may be sent in care of the funeral home.
