Linnie Dickerson

Linnie Iola Dickerson, 99, of Pleasant Hill, Missouri, was born Monday, August 23, 1909 in Pleasant Hill, Missouri, the daughter of Alexander J. and Nannie O. (Smith) Small. She departed this life Tuesday, September 2, 2008 at the Lee's Summit Medical Center.

On January 9, 1937, Linnie was united in marriage to Donald A. Dickerson, Sr. in Pleasant Hill, Missouri. He preceded her in death on August 27, 1974.

Linnie was a Homemaker and she lived in the Hickory Grove area all of her life. She was a member of the Hickory Grove Baptist Church.

She was also preceded in death by her parents; 1 great grandchild William Dick; 4 brothers Claude, George, Sandy, and John; 4 sisters Lola Hayes, Alma Parris, Pearl James and Nannie Mitchell.

She is survived by her son Donald A. Dickerson, Jr. and his wife Rita of Pleasant Hill; her daughter Mary L. Wilmoth and her husband Perry of Pleasant Hill; 4 grandchildren Brent Dickerson and Linda of Independence, Lisa Moore and Steve of Harrisonville, Tracy Dick and Roger of Kansas City North, and Julie Gerling and Mark of Lee's Summit; 12 great-grandchildren; 1 sister Lillie T. Barrow age 101 of Pleasant Hill; other relatives and friends.

Graveside funeral services were held Saturday, September 6, 2008 at the Pleasant Hill Cemetery. Reverend Merle Mees officiated. Casket bearers were Roger Dick, Brent Dickerson, Mark Gerling, and Steve Moore.
