Lillian Ellen White, of Kingsville, Missouri, was born Monday, June 6, 1938 in Pleasant Hill, Missouri, the daughter of Stanley T. Sears and Mary E. Bigbee. She went home to the Lord, Sunday, November 19, 2006 at Lee's Summit Hospital, Lee's Summit, Missouri at the age of 68 years, 5 months and 13 days.
On February 4, 1956, Ellen was united in marriage to Dale White in Pleasant Hill, Missouri, and on February 4, 2006 celebrated their 50th wedding anniversary. Ellen was a homemaker and a servant of the Lord. Ellen delighted in spending time with her two granddaughters, as they were truly the light of her life. She enjoyed making crafts and owned her own store, Ellen's Country Crafts. Her other hobbies included cooking, planting flowers, and helping others.
Besides her parents, she was preceded in death by two brothers, Billy and Eddie Sears.
She is survived by her husband of 50 years Henry Dale White; one son, Jim White, Kingsville, Missouri; two daughters, Cheryl Thompkins, Holden, Missouri, and Cindy and husband Mark Gipple, Raymore, Missouri; two granddaughters, Mary Ann Peterson and Delaney Kay Gipple; two sisters Judy and husband Calvin Warner, and Kathy Rolfe; and three special friends Jennifer Hicks, Beulah Pittman and Wanda Hansen.
Ellen loved the Lord and cherished her relationships with all of you and it is her desire that those relationships extend past this world and on into the eternity of heaven. John 3:15 "that whoever believes in Him should not perish but have eternal life"
Funeral Services were held 11:00 AM, Wednesday, November 22, 2006 at the Stanley-Dickey Funeral Home, Pleasant Hill. Reverend Tom White officiated. Pallbearers were Mark Gipple, Daniel White, Duane White, Matt Savage, John Vannatta, Jr., and Jason Vannatta.
Her family received friends from 10:00 until service time. Burial was in the Pleasant Hill Cemetery.
