Lillian Margarette Lowther, 92, of Roach, Missouri, formerly of Kansas City, was born, February 20, 1924, in St. Joseph, Missouri, the daughter of George W. and Eula P. (Ware) Hall. She departed this life, Monday, May 30, 2016, at her home.
On October 7, 1944, she was united in marriage to Cecil Hyrum Lowther in Kansas City.
Lillian was employed as a bookkeeper for Shelton & Son Landscaping retiring in 1981. She had also worked for Tri-City Construction, B&G Hosiery, and Sears & Roebuck. She was a longtime Kansas City Resident retiring to the Lake of the Ozarks where she loved fishing, gardening, and going on long drives. She was an avid bowler and a member of the WIBC Bowling League.
Lillian was preceded in death by her parents, one brother, and four sisters.
She is survived by her husband of 72 years, Cecil of the home; two daughters, Gloria Durham of Pleasant Hill, and Norma Joyce (and Larry) Linville of Norborne, Missouri; 6 grandchildren; 11 great grandchildren: 2 great-great grandchildren; other relatives and friends.
Funeral services were held Thursday June, 2, 2016, at the funeral home. Reverend D. Kent Deubner officiated. Interment was in the Pleasant Hill Cemetery. Casket bearers were Cody Linville, Clayton Waugh, Jake Waugh, Mason Waugh, P.J. Waugh, and Shawn Waugh.
