Larry Bybee

Larry Willis Bybee, 70, of Pleasant Hill, Missouri, was born Saturday, September 14, 1940 near Buffalo, Missouri, the son of Homer and Mamie (Willis) Bybee. He departed this life Friday, December 3, 2010 at his home surrounded by his family.

On July 5, 1984, he was united in marriage to Marilyn G. Yates in Raytown, Missouri.

Larry was employed as an auto painter for Broadway Ford in Kansas City and later for Gil's Body Shop in Kansas City, retiring in 2003.

Besides his parents, he is preceded in death by one sister.

He is survived by his wife Marilyn of the home; one son Brian Bybee of Pleasant Hill; one daughter Julie Bond of Cleveland, Ohio; three stepchildren Jerry Yates of Clinton, Rhonda Pruett (and Donnie) of Belton, and Michael Yates of Lee's Summit; one granddaughter Marra Yates; other relatives and many friends.

Graveside funeral services were held Tuesday, December 7, 2010, at the Pleasant Hill Cemetery. Reverend D. Kent Deubner of the Pleasant Hill First Christian Church officiated.

Memorial contributions are suggested to Grace Hospice and may be sent in care of the funeral home.
