Keyon M. Matthews

Keyon Mikel Matthews, seven-week-old son of Timothy L. Matthews and Bryona A. Smith both of Kansas City, was born Sunday, October 1, 2023, in Lee’s Summit. He departed this life unexpectedly on Monday, November 20, 2023, at his home.

Keyon is survived by his parents Tim and Bryona; his paternal grandparents, Timothy and Stefanie Matthews of Kansas City; maternal grandparents Bryan (and Melinda) Lott of Kansas City, and Jennifer (and John Koetting) Smith  of Pleasant Hill; paternal great grandparents, Charles Kerr of Belton, and Karen Jackson of Las Vegas; maternal great grandparents Mike Smith of Pleasant Hill and Lauri Koetting of Harrisonville; several aunts, uncles, and cousins.

He was preceded in death by three cousins, Jase, Michaeel, and Brecken.

Cremation has been accorded.  A celebration of Keyon’s life will be held at a later date. The time and location will be published here when that information becomes available.
