Janette S. Bair

Janette Sue “Jan” Bair, 57, of Kansas City, Missouri, was born August 22, 1965, in Kansas City, Kansas, the daughter of Hobert L. and Mayme E. (Jennings) Berry.  She departed this life Tuesday, August 15, 2023, at her home surrounded with love and family.

Jan was a 1983 Wyandotte County High School graduate.

On August19, 2006, she was united in marriage to Thomas W. Bair in Kansas City, Missouri.

Jan was a homemaker.  She had also worked as an Immigration Clerk for Immigration Services in Lee’s Summit.  She enjoyed reading, camping, canoeing, and caring for her cat. She was a master at cross-stitching and loved quilting.

Jan was preceded in death by her mother.

She is survived by her husband Tom of their home; five children, Ryan (and Travis Clark) Berry of Kansas City, Michelle (and Christopher) Ogle of Raytown, April Causey of Kansas City, Samantha (and Luke) Barber of Pleasant Hill, and Amber (and Chase) Meier of Greenwood; six grandchildren, William, Jameson, Elizabeth, Kennedy, Alexander, and Bentley; her father and stepmother, Hobert (and Sharon) Berry of Edwards, Missouri; three siblings, Derrick (and Mary) Berry of La Cygne, Kansas, Anita Hamilton and Christina Berry, both of Kansas City, Kansas; other relatives and friends.

Visitation and funeral services were held Tuesday, August 22, 2023, at the funeral home.  Pastor Gary Stolle officiated.  Interment was in the Pleasant Hill Cemetery. Casket bearers were Luke Barber, Derrick Berry, Jason Berry, Ryan Berry, Chase Meier, and Chris Ogle.  Honorary casket bearer is Joe Connealy.

Memorial contributions are suggested to the Sarah Cannon Cancer Center and may be sent in care of the funeral home.
