James Salvatore Geraci, Sr., 77, of Harrisonville, was born June 8, 1946, in Kansas City, Missouri. He departed this life Sunday, June 11, 2023, at his home surrounded with love and family.
James grew up in Kansas City and attended Paseo High School.
On November 26, 1966, he was united in marriage to Laura Lee Frazier in Kansas City at the Redemptorist Catholic Church.
James was employed as a Sheet Metal Worker with Union Local #2 and worked for Feagan Sheet Metal and HVAC in the Fairfax District. He was of the catholic faith. He enjoyed hunting and fishing, camping and boating, traveling out west, and going to the Casino. He will be long remembered as a hard worker who was dedicated to his craft and family.
James was preceded in death by his mother and stepfather, Beatrice and Frank Lindsey; one brother, John Bernard Smith; cousins, Bob Lindsey and Jim Lindsey.
He is survived by his wife, Laura of Harrisonville; two sons, Jimmy S. Geraci, II, and Anthony L. Geraci, both of Harrisonville; four grandchildren, Nicholas Geraci, Nathan Geraci, Lily, and Zianni Leon Geraci; two sisters, Frances Lindsey and nieces and nephews of Kalispell, Montana, and Elley (and Paul) Miller of Grand Junction, Colorado; his cousins Steve (and Deborah) Banks and Tim Banks and their families, Kristine Ellis, Rowena Moreno, and Danice (and John) Kolasa; other relatives and many friends.
Visitation and funeral services were held Friday, June 16, 2023, at the funeral home. Reverend Creighton Cox officiated. Interment was in the Pleasant Hill Cemetery. Casket bearers were Kevin Benedict, Anthony Geraci, Zianni Geraci, Ron Goddard, Brian Lee, Ron Morgan, and Terry Scott. Honorary casket bearers were Johnnie Frazier, Alvin Goddard, Pat Hillan, Jay Kane, and Bill Smith.
Memorial contributions are suggested to the family and may be sent in care of the funeral home.
