Junior Dale Fulks, 79, of Pleasant Hill, Missouri, was born Saturday, March 2, 1929 in Plato, Missouri, the son of John and Lina (Royster) Fulks. He departed this life Wednesday, December 10, 2008 at the Lee's Summit Medical Center.
On June 7, 1951, Dale was united in marriage to Deana D. Hart in Salem, Arkansas.
Dale spent nine years serving his country in the Army Reserve. He worked for Bendix Aviation Corporation from 1955 until his retirement in 1991. He was a member of the Plato Baptist Church.
He was preceded in death by his parents and his two sisters Bonnie Willhite and Betty Nipper.
He is survived by his wife of 57 years Deana D. Fulks, of the home; 3 daughters Marsha R. Kennedy (and Steve) and Karen J. Hoover (and Allan) both of Pleasant Hill, and Denise D. Davey (and Dennis) of Shawnee, Kansas; seven grandchildren Michael D. Kennedy (and Heather), Travis A. Hoover, Susan D. Wohlferd (and Steven), Richard D. Hoover (and Karen), Stacie J. Hubler (and D.J.), Brent D. Hoover (and Melynda), Nicole R. Carter; four great grandchildren with three more on the way; two sisters Vivian Smith (and Doyle) of Licking, Missouri and Marjorie Gracie (and Jim) of Stover, Missouri; other relatives and friends.
Funeral services were held Monday, December 15, 2008 at the funeral home. Reverend D. Kent Deubner of the Pleasant Hill First Christian Church officiated. The Veteran's of Foreign War post #3118 honor guard provide full military honors at the funeral home.
A graveside service with interment was held Thursday, December 18, 2008, at the Stark Cemetery in Plato, Missouri. Reverend Leroy Bates officiated. Casket bearers were Allan Hoover, Rick Hoover, Travis Hoover, D.J. Hubler, Mike Kennedy, Stephen Kennedy, and Lucas Perkins. Honorary casket bearers were Brent Hoover and Dennis Davey.
Memorial contributions are suggested to the family in memory of Dale.
