Henry Gray Redhair

Henry Gray Redhair, 70, of Pleasant Hill, Missouri, was born April 22, 1953, in Osceola, Missouri, this son of Teddy R. and Mary Sue Redhair.  He departed this life Thursday, October 19, 2023, at his home in Pleasant Hill.

Gray was a 1971 Graduate of Excelsior Springs High School.  He studied business at the University of Missouri at Columbia, later earning his associate degree in criminal justice from Maplewood Community College.

On May 4, 1974, he was united in marriage to Karen E. Wahler in Excelsior Springs and to this union one child, Jeremy William Redhair was born; Gray and Karen later divorced. He was united in marriage to Marcia Susan Walker in Excelsior Springs on March 24, 1991, and to this union 1 child, April Frances Redhair was born; Gray and Marcia later divorced. 

Gray was employed as a Table Games and Poker Dealer at several Casinos in California and Kansas City.  He recently worked as an Uber driver as well as a Courier for BMT Consulting.  He was a member of the Hermitage Christian Church in Hermitage, Missouri.  He enjoyed watching sports, especially the Royals, Chiefs, and Mizzou football and basketball. Gray was very much a “people person” and very social. He liked working with and being around other people.  He was kindhearted and always there to help when called upon.

Gray was preceded in death by his mother Mary Sue Redhair, his sister Linda Ann Redhair, and his stepmother, Patricia L. (Cook) Redhair.

He is survived by his father, Ted of Belton, Missouri; two children and their spouses, Jeremy and Terri Redhair of Belton and April and Josh Moore of San Diego, California; two grandchildren, Kierstin Redhair and Cooper Redhair; other relatives and a host of many friends.

Cremation has been accorded.

Visitation and a Cerebration of Gray's life was  held  Saturday, November 4, 2023, at the funeral home.

Inurnment will be in the Plum Grove Cemetery, Dunnegan, Missouri, at a later date.

Memorial contributions are suggested to American Diabetes Association and may be sent in care of the funeral home.
