Henry Hudson Barbarick, 88, of Pleasant Hill, Missouri, was born Saturday, January 1, 1921 in Bland, Missouri, the son of George and Selma (Ball) Barbarick. He departed this life Friday, April 3, 2009 at his son's home in Pleasant Hill.

On November 29, 1941, Henry was united in marriage to Mable Louise Cook in Jefferson City, Missouri. She preceded him in death on December 17, 2005.

Henry was a Carman for the Missouri Pacific Railroad, retiring in 1983. He was a member of the Big Creek Baptist Church. He was a WWII Army Veteran.

He was also preceded in death by his parents, 2 grandsons Richard Barbarick and Chad Barbarick, and 2 brothers Richard Barbarick and Ray Barbarick.

He is survived by 4 sons, Jerry D. (and Diana) Barbarick of Clinton, Missouri, Darell W. (and Lola) Barbarick, Dale R. (and Donna) Barbarick, and Dennis L. (and Jeri) Barbarick all of Pleasant Hill; 1 daughter Judith E. Eisenbeisz (and David) of Arvada, Colorado; 18 Grandchildren; 20 Great Grandchildren ; 1 Brother Luther (and Edna) Barbarick of Pleasant Hill; 1 sister Mildred Antweiler of Holt's Summit, Missouri; 3 half sisters Selma Humberg of Hermann, Missouri, Dorothy Callender of McKittrick, Missouri, and Nellie (and Dinger) Rollmaker of Hermann, Missouri; other relatives and many friends.

Funeral Services were held Wednesday, April 8, 2009 at the Stanley Funeral Home. Pastor Todd MacLean officiated. Burial was in the Pleasant Hill Cemetery. Casket bearers were Ben Barbarick, Brad Barbarick, Dale R. Barbarick, Darell Barbarick, Dennis Barbarick, Heath Barbarick, Jerry Barbarick, Judith Eisenbeisz, Lola Ann Barbarick, Shawn Barbarick, Wes Barbarick, Kurt Brent and Donnie Hibner.

Graveside military services were conducted by the VFW Post #3118 honor guard.

Memorial contributions are suggested to the Lay Clergy Council Food Pantry or the Big Creek Baptist Church Building Fund and may be sent in care of the funeral Home.
