Harvey Wells

Harvey L. "Buster" Wells, 79, of Pleasant Hill, Missouri, was born Sunday, September 28, 1930 in Nashua, Missouri, the son of Earlwirt and Anna Grace (Horseman) Wells. He departed this life at 2:45 p.m. on Wednesday, February 3, 2010 at his home.

On December 30, 1950, he was united in marriage to Faye Elda Payne in Fayetteville, Arkansas. She preceded him in death on March 28, 2005.

Buster was the Service Manager for the Machinery & Supplies Co., Inc. in Kansas City, Kansas, retiring in 1988.

The family would like to express their heartfelt thanks and appreciation to Buster's sister-in-law and caregiver for the last four years Sarah Evelina Payne.

He is survived by his children, all of whom he affectionately referred to by birth order. # 1 Kathy Acton of Lenexa, #2 Kaye Wright of Columbia, Missouri, #3 Karolyn (and Rick) Dinges of Pleasant Hill, Missouri, #4 John (and Vicki) Wells of Holden, Missouri, #5 Karen (and Don) Cable of Grain Valley, Missouri, #6 Robert Wells of Kansas City, Missouri, #7 Kristine (and Alan) Hamilton of Harrisonville, Missouri; 14 Grandchildren; 16 great-grandchildren; two sisters Mary Gabriel of Butler, Missouri and Tressie (and Charles) Robinson of Independence, Missouri; one brother James (and Barbara) Wells of Kansas City, Missouri; several nieces and nephews; other relatives and friends.

Funeral services were held Monday, February 8, 2010, at the funeral home. Mr. Don Cable officiated along with Buster's Children and Grandchildren. Interment was in the Mulberry Cemetery near Amoret, Missouri. Casket bearers were Troy Acton, Jason Wells, David Wells, Kyle Oldham, Connor Cable, and Jay Payne. Honorary casket bearers were Brian Wright, Terry Wells, Dan Wells, Dean Payne, Jo Pippin and Cheryl Lincoln.
