Glendon Dean Ross, 78, of Sedalia, formerly of Pleasant Hill, was born May 16, 1946, in Drakes Creek, Arkansas, the son of Troy Clyde and Claris Geneva (Garrett) Ross. He departed this life Monday, December 23, 2024, at the Four Seasons Assisted Living Center in Sedalia.
Glen graduated from Windsor High School, Windsor, Missouri. While working the wheat harvest in Kansas he met Esther Marie Saenger and they were united in marriage on September 4, 1967, in Sylvan Grove, Kansas; she preceded him in death on June 11, 2010.
He enjoyed deer hunting, fishing, and watching television. He was a gifted artist who loved to draw pictures of cars, trucks, and landscapes. You were very lucky when you received a personally drawn Christmas card from him.
Glen was also preceded in death by his parents; his stepmother, Barbara Ross; one niece, Angela Sanders; and one great nephew, Trevor Ross.
He is survived by five brothers, Junior (and Carol) Ross, Lloyd (and Pat) Ross, Bob (and Becky) Ross, Dennis (and Mary) Ross, Jim (and Grace) Ross, all of Pleasant Hill; three sisters, Linda (and DA) Kramer of Graff, Missouri, Nancy (and Jim) Hull and Brenda (and Preston) Sanders, of Pleasant Hill; numerous nieces and nephews; other relatives and friends.
Graveside funeral services were held Friday, January 10, 2025, at the Pleasant Hill Cemetery. Mr. Bill Cotton officiated. Casket bearers were Junior Ross, Lloyd Ross, Bob Ross, Dennis Ross, David Kramer, and Nick Ross.
Memorial contributions are suggested to the Pleasant Hill Lay Clergy and may be sent in care of the funeral home.
