Geraldine L. Marshall, 61, of Pleasant Hill, Missouri, was born Friday, July 26, 1946 in Oswego, Kansas, the daughter of Billy E. and Mary Ann (Marshall) Nading. She departed this life Tuesday, November 6, 2007 at her home in Pleasant Hill.

On September 29, 1962, Geraldine was united in marriage to David L. Marshall in Nevada, Missouri.

Geraldine was Head Cook for the Pleasant Hill Elementary School. She was a member of the Big Creek Baptist Church and enjoyed gardening, cross stitching, watching KC Chiefs football and spending time with her family.

She was preceded in death by her father; an infant son Jeffrey Allen Marshall; and 2 infant grandchildren Kyle and Lauren Marshall.

She is survived by her mother of Excelsior Springs, Missouri, husband of the home; 1 son David L. Marshall, Jr. and his wife Angela, of Palmer, Alaska; 1 daughter Sandy L. Thiede and her husband Rick of Pleasant Hill; 5 grandchildren David Marshall III, Emma Marshall, Samantha Marshall, Victoria Thiede and Alexandria Thiede; 2 brothers, Bill Nading and his wife Georgia of El Dorado Springs, Missouri and Nick Nading of Kingman, Arizona; several nieces and nephews; other relatives and many friends.

Cremation has been accorded. A memorial service was held Saturday, November 10, 2007, at the Big Creek Baptist Church. Reverend James D. Butterfield officiated.

Memorial contributions are suggested to the Big Creek Baptist Church building fund and may be sent in care of the funeral home.
