Faye Comer

Faye Comer, 79, of Strasburg, Missouri, was born Wednesday, November 23, 1927 in Avalon, Missouri, the daughter of Claude Aines and Virginia Mae (Rogers) Hackett. She departed this life Saturday, September 15, 2007 at the Pleasant Hill Health & Rehabilitation Center.

On June 23, 1951, Faye was united in marriage to Jasper W. Comer in Pleasant Hill.

She had worked for the Veneer Plant, Ferguson's Greenhouse and for the Strasburg Elementary School.

She was preceded in death by her parents.

She is survived by her husband Jasper of the home, 1 son Randy Comer and his wife Janet of Liberty, Missouri; 1 daughter Cheryl Randolph and her husband Rick of Pleasant Hill, 3 grandchildren Kevin and Keri Comer of Liberty and Brooke Randolph of Pleasant Hill; 2 brothers Granville Hackett of Strasburg and James Hackett and his wife Louise of Derby, Kansas; 2 sisters Fern Graves and her husband Ed of Strasburg, and Allie Jo Ayres and her husband Bill of Strasburg; several nieces and nephews; other relatives and many friends.

Funeral services were held Wednesday, September 19, 2007, at the Stanley-Dickey Funeral Home. Pastor David Hackett officiated. Burial was in Strasburg Cemetery. Casket bearers were Rod Graves, Roger Graves, Bill Hackett, Doug Hackett, Bruce Simms, and Bryan Simms. Honorary casket bearers were Keri Comer, Kevin Comer, and Brooke Randolph.
