Ethel M. Bunch

Ethel Marie Bunch, 78, of Grandview, was born June 30, 1945, in Kansas City, the daughter of Howard F. and Virginia (Hansen) Carpenter.  She departed this life Tuesday, December 12, 2023, at her home.

Marie attended the Center school district.

On September 23, 1963, she was united in marriage to Francis Dee Bunch in Kansas City.  He preceded her in death on June 12, 2015.

Marie was employed as a Pharmacy Tech at the Baptist Lutheran Hospital in Kansas City for over 46 years and after the hospital closed, she worked at Research Hospital for several more.  She was a member of the Spring Valley Baptist Church. She enjoyed shopping, going on car rides, and traveling. She was especially fond of her dogs.  She will be long remembered for her kind and caring spirit.

Marie was also preceded in death by her parents and her sister, Leona Chasteen.

She is survived by her brother, Gene Carpenter of Lakewood, Colorado; sister’s-in-law, Evelyn Bunch of Branson and Loella “Teen” Kleitz of Blue Springs; nieces and nephews, Jennifer Carpenter, Debbie Eagleburger, Vickie Luecke, Dianne Neugebauer, Jerry Bunch, Mark Kleitz, Steve Kleitz, David Kleitz; several great nieces and nephews; other relatives and friends.

Cremation has been accorded.

Graveside services and inurnment were held Wednesday, December 20, 2023, at the Pleasant Hill Cemetery. Pastor James Stanfield-Myers officiated.
