Dorothy Parks

Dorothy F. Parks, 82, of Pleasant Hill, Missouri, was born Monday, August 24, 1925 in Clinton, Missouri, the daughter of Charles and Peggy (Wine) Jones. She departed this life Wednesday, February 20, 2008 at her home near Pleasant Hill.

On May 6, 1943, Dorothy was united in marriage to James T. Parks in Clinton, Missouri; he preceded her in death on April 16, 2007.

Dorothy was a homemaker. She was a member of the Coleman Baptist Church and past president of the Ladies Auxiliary of VFW Post #4409 of Harrisonville.

Besides her parents, and her husband she was preceded in death by 2 daughters Kelly Charlene Parks and Carla Faye Parks.

She is survived by her daughter Tamara I. Thomas of Pleasant Hill; 2 sons Marlin R. (and Linda), and Larry Leeman all of Clinton, Missouri; 2 brothers Bill Ritchey of Texas and Walley Ritchey of Oklahoma; 6 grandchildren; 6 great-grandchildren; other relatives and friends.

Cremation has been accorded. Inurnment will be held at the Parks Chapel Cemetery, near Tightwad, Missouri at a later date.
