It is with deep sorrow that we announce the passing of Daralene Carter, beloved wife, mother, sister, grandmother, and great grandmother. Daralene was born on Feb. 23, 1943 and peacefully passed away at home on Feb.12 2025.
She was united to Karl Carter on July 23,1961. Together they shared 64 years of marriage.
Daralene was employed as a secretary for Western Electric and then later for their real estate office as well as many years working beside her husband building houses. She was an avid quilter, sewer, and reader. She was proud of her family and cherished the time spent with all of them.
Daralene was preceded in death by her parents and one grandson Dayton House. She is survived by her husband Karl Carter and sister Glenna Lusby. Two sons, Kevin (Ottavia) Carter, Keith(Dana) Carter; 4 grandchildren, Kyle(Sarah)Carter and Klay Carter, Tony(Tosha) Ott, and Brandy(Ryan) Goodridge; two great grandchildren Leah Carter and Gunnar Goodridge; other relatives and a host of many friends.
She played piano and organ at various churches and enjoyed teaching Sunday school and Awanas. She cherished the time she spent with her grandsons. She graduated from CMSU in 1991 with a Bachelor of Science in Architecture. She was a coach and sponsor for the drill team and cheerleading at Lone Jack for several years.
