Brent S. Alexander

     Brent Shannon Alexander, 52, of Harrisonville, was born January 10, 1971, in Kansas City, Missouri.  He departed this life, Friday, July 14, 2023, as a result of injuries sustained in a motorcycle accident near East Lynne.

    At the age of 10 Brent was baptized at the First Baptist Church in Pleasant Hill.  He was a 1989 Pleasant Hill High School graduate and later earned his bachelor's degree from DeVry University in Kansas City in 2004.

     On January 11, 2020, he was united in marriage to Glenda Louise (Palmer) Repp in Pleasant Hill.

      Brent was employed as a Machinist for Shultz Tractor and Machine Service in Clinton and was currently working as a Process Engineer for R&D Leverage in Lee’s Summit.  He was a member of Jewel Lodge #480 A.F. & A.M. in Pleasant Hill and the Cass County Elks Lodge #2791 Harrisonville.  He enjoyed hunting, fishing, snagging, farming, and working on his farm. He especially loved singing karaoke.

      Brent was preceded in death by his maternal grandparents, Bud & Electa Owsley.

      Brent is survived by his wife Glenda Alexander of Harrisonville; his mother, Cheryl Joyce Owsley of Bolivar; his father, Ray Alexander of Pleasant Hill; his father and stepmother, Harold and Terry Wright of Grain Valley; three children, Bryce (and Dee) Alexander of Archie, Hayden (and Tara Redel) of Raymore, and Brent (and Brittney Smith) Alexander, Jr. of Pleasant Hill; one stepson Tyler (and Racheal Snyder) Repp of Pleasant Hill; four grandchildren, Shane Repp, Walker Alexander, Everett Alexander, and Kinleigh Redel;  two brothers, Lyle (and Annie) Alexander of Leawood and Ryan (and Kat) Alexander of Pleasant Hill; one sister, Nina (and Nathan) Nance of Bolivar; stepsister, Jenny (and Phil) Grabmiller of Greenwood; other relatives and a host of many friends.

     Visitation was held Thursday, July 20, 2023, at the funeral home.

     Funeral services were held Friday, July 21, 2023, at the funeral home.  Masonic funeral services were conducted by Mr. Jim Williams.  Funeral services were conducted by Reverend Grant Ledbetter.  Interment was in the Pleasant Hill Cemetery.  Casket bearers were Bryce Alexander, Hayden Alexander, Brent Alexander, Jr., Tyler Repp, Lyle Alexander, Ryan Alexander, Doug Collins, Jon Parris, and Nick Stuckey. Honorary casket bearers were Mark Campbell, Nathan Nance, and Nico Pike.

     Memorial contributions are suggested to Pleasant Hill Future Farmers of America and may be sent in care of the funeral home.
