BONNIE L. RAFFURTY

Bonnie Lee Raffurty, 70, of Pleasant Hill, was born, September 6, 1951, in Kansas City, Missouri, the daughter of Floyd Wesley and Naomi Frances (Marlett) Decker.  She departed this life, Thursday, November 18, 2021, at her home.

Bonnie was a 1970 Belton High School graduate.

In 1971 she was united in marriage to John Lyle Erdman in Harrisonville, Missouri and to this union, one son, Joseph Wayne Erdman was born; they later divorced. On September 6, 1982, she was united in marriage to William Robert “Bill” Raffurty in Pleasant Hill; he preceded her in death on November 24, 2013.

Bonnie was employed as a Material Handler for the Peterson Manufacturing Company in Grandview for over 35 years.  She was a member of the Big Creek Baptist Church.  She loved animals especially her birds and she enjoyed crocheting, knitting, sewing, and fishing.

Bonnie was also preceded in death by her parents.

She is survived by her son Joe Erdman of Belton; one brother, Donald Lee Decker of Belton; four grandchildren; other relatives and friends.

Visitation was held Tuesday, November 23, 2021, at the funeral home.

Funeral services were held Tuesday, November 23, 2021, at the funeral home.  Reverend D. Kent Deubner officiated.  Burial followed in the Pleasant Hill Cemetery.

Memorial contributions are suggested to the Pleasant Hill Lay-Clergy and may be sent in care of the funeral home.
