Bobby Thomas

Bobby Leonard Thomas,Sr, 51, of Independence, Missouri, was born November 18, 1962, in Tawas, Michigan, the son of Gerald Joseph and Caroline Rose (Styles) Thomas. He departed this life Monday, March 17, 2014, at the North Kansas City Hospital.

On October 31, 2004, he was united in marriage to Susan Jean West in Belton, Missouri.

Bobby was a gifted tree trimmer and had been employed by the Joe Gray Tree Service.

Bobby was preceded in death by his parents.

He is survived by his wife Susan of Independence; two sons Bobby (and Heather) Thomas, Jr. and Joseph Thomas, both of East Tawas, Michigan; two step-sons William Roger Godfrey, II of Stover, Missouri, and Aron LaGene (and Kathryn) Godfrey of Independence; one step-daughter Lynn Cabrera of East Tawas; his step mother Anita Gayle Thomas of Independence; two brothers Glenn (and Cynthia) Thomas of Independence and Gerald Thomas of East Tawas; one sister Loretta Thomas of Houston, Texas; 11 grandchildren; several nieces and nephews; other relatives and many friends.

Cremation has been accorded. No services are scheduled at this time.
