Ashby Limbocker

November 2, 1926 — November 15, 2008

Ashby Paul Limbocker, 82, of Pleasant Hill, Missouri, formerly of Blue Springs and Camdenton, was born Tuesday, November 2, 1926 in Smith Center, Kansas, the son of Fred L. and Lydia M. (Sealock) Limbocker. He departed this life Saturday, November 15, 2008 at St. Luke's Hospital-East, in Lee's Summit, Missouri.

In April, 1948, Ashby was united in marriage to Louise Wigelsworth in Bentonville, Arkansas.

Ashby first worked as a machinist for Bendix Corporation and Precise Tool & Engineering. Later he owned and operated his own machine shop, Lakeview Machine, in Blue Springs, then in Camdenton. He attended Forest Grove Baptist Church. He was a veteran of the United States Navy serving in both World War II and the Korean Wars and was a former member of the American Legion and VFW of Blue Springs. He was preceded in death by his parents; one brother Devere Limbocker; 2 sisters, Evelyn Robinson and Sally Aldrich.

He is survived by his wife Louise of the home; two daughters Vickie Church (and Mike) of Pleasant Hill, Missouri, and Vanessa Wetch (and Rob) of Eldon, Missouri; four grandchildren Karrie Foerster (and Curt) of Greenwood, Missouri, Nathan Church (and Jocelyn) of Lee's Summit, Missouri, Jason Young (and Andrea) of Holt Summit, Missouri, and Tonya Dickerson (and Scott) of Indianapolis, Indiana; 5 great grandchildren Gavin, Caitlyn, Ashton, Cailyn, and Hailey; one sister Ardis Richardson (and Dale) of Lee's Summit, Missouri; one brother Lyle Limbocker of Las Vegas, Nevada; other relatives and friends.

Funeral Services were held , Saturday, November 22, 2008 at the Stanley-Dickey Funeral Home. Pastor Jensen Petersen officiated. Burial was in Blue Springs Cemetery where military graveside services were performed by members of the Pleasant Hill VFW Post #3118 Honor Guard. Casket bearers were Michael Church, Nathan Church, Scott Dickerson, Gavin Foerster, Curt Foerster, Matt Rising, Rob Wetch, and Jason Young.
