Arthur Ellifrits

Arthur F. "Hank" Ellifrits, 71, of Independence, Missouri, formerly of Strasburg, was born Friday, January 10, 1936 in Edgar Springs, Missouri, the son of Alfred Troy and Hattie Ellen (Ellifrits) McCrery. He departed this life Monday, December 17, 2007 at North Kansas City Hospital.

On December 5, 1959, Arthur was united in marriage to Frances Lucille Whalan in Miami, OK. She preceded him in death on September 18, 1990.

Arthur had been a general laborer last working for Anaconda Cable Manufacturing in Harrisonville.

He was preceded in death by his parents and wife.

He is survived by 1 son, Kenneth Eugene Ellifrits and wife Chris of Leavenworth, Kansas; 3 brothers, Herschel Ellifrits and wife Mildred of Kansas City, Missouri, Billy Ellifrits and wife Marcella of Pleasant Hill, Robert McCrery of Prescott Valley, Arizona; 4 sister's Dorothy Ellifrits of Kansas City, Missouri, Maxine Huskey of Corsicana, Texas, Ruby Gillette and husband Ronald of Kansas City, Missouri and Janice Breedlove and husband Lanny of Farley, Missouri; 1 grandson; other relatives and many friends.

Graveside services were held Friday, December 21, 2007, at the Strasburg Cemetery, Strasburg, Missouri. Mr. Dennis Pittman officiated.
