Anne Calvert Curry, 16, of Pleasant Hill, Missouri, was born Sunday, April 12, 1992 in Kansas City, Missouri, the daughter of Terry L. Curry and Mary E. (Moore) Yelton. She departed this life Wednesday, November 12, 2008 as a result of injuries sustained in an automobile accident.

Anne was a junior at the Pleasant Hill High School where she was a carrying a 4.31 GPA, was a member of the Hillside Singers, and played Saxophone in the band. She was a 2008 Alumnus of the Missouri Scholars Academy.

Anne left the gift of life to many others through organ donation.

She was preceded in death by her paternal grandfather Bernard Curry and her maternal grandmother Marcia Moore.

She is survived by her father Terry Curry of Raytown, Missouri; her mother and step-father Mary Yelton and Darrell of Pleasant Hill; her brother Robert T. Curry (and Johna Taber) of Pleasant Hill; her step-brother Kevin A. Yelton of Independence, Missouri; her step-sister Kaleigh E. Bearce (and Justin) of Lee’ Summit, Missouri; her paternal grandmother Margaret Ellen Curry of Raytown; step grandmother Martha J. Yelton of Raytown; other relatives and many, many friends.

Funeral services were held Sunday, November 16, 2008, at the Pleasant Hill United Methodist Church. Pastor Carl Knapp officiated. Casket bearers were Yahya Baheyadeen, Justin Bearce, Robert Curry, Jeremy Dabbs, William Moore, Brian Smith, and Phillip Yelton. Cremation followed services.

In lieu of flowers memorial contributions are suggested to the Pleasant Hill Hillside Singers or the Missouri Scholar’s Academy and may be sent in care of the funeral home.
