Angella Dawn Sanders, 29, of Pleasant Hill, Missouri, was born Monday, August 20, 1979 in Fairbanks, Alaska the daughter of Preston D. and Brenda L. (Ross) Sanders. She departed this earth to be with her Lord and Savior Jesus on Friday, January 9, 2009 at 10:44 a.m. at the Jackson Memorial Hospital in Miami, Florida.
Angella grew up in Wichita Falls, Texas, moving to Pleasant Hill in 1995 where she graduated High School in 1997. She then attended Vatterott College in Kansas City, Missouri, graduating with a degree in drafting. Following graduation she worked as a drafter in New Hampshire for a period of two years; she then took a drafting job at Castle Metals in Kansas City until December 2007.
In April, 2008 she graduated from the Focus on the Family Institute in Colorado Springs, Colorado. Her internship program was working with troubled teenagers, which was her lifelong dream. Her ambition and goal was to establish and operate a Christian youth camp for teenagers.
She was a very active member of Strasburg Baptist Church where she helped with Youth Mission Camps, Youth Disciple Now weekends and other activities and trips. She recently went to Cudjoe Key, Florida to spend a few months with her sister and brother-in-law.
Angella was her father's number one supporter and inspiration as a pastor. She was a wonderful daughter and a blessing and inspiration to all that knew her.
She was preceded in death by her paternal grandmother Wanda (Leslie) Seahorn and her maternal grandfather Clyde Ross.
She is survived by her parents Preston and Brenda of Pleasant Hill; her sister Danielle and brother-in-law Derek Friedrich of Cudjoe, Key, Florida; her paternal grandparents Jay and Kay Sanders of Pleasant Hill; her maternal grandmother Geneva Ross and step-grandmother, Barb Ross of Pleasant Hill; many aunts, uncles, cousins; and many, many friends across the country.
Funeral services were held Saturday, January 17, 2009, at the Strasburg Baptist Church. Reverend Preston Sanders officiated. Burial was in the Pleasant Hill Cemetery. Casket bearers were Ben Barbarick, Nick Beck, James Harding, Bobby Scott, Jacob Tuck and Larry Weir. Honorary casket bearers were Junior Ruckdashell, Cody Todd and Corey Todd
In lieu of flowers memorial contributions are suggested to the Strasburg Baptist church building fund and may be sent in care of the funeral home.
