Alma Caenepeel

Alma B. Caenepeel, 92, of Laurie, Missouri, formerly of Kansas City, Missouri, departed this life Friday, June 13, 2008 at the Laurie Care Center.

Alma born Wednesday, February 23, 1916 in Zefra, Oklahoma, the daughter of John Wesley and Lorene (Nichols) Moore.

On July 1, 1939 she was united in marriage to Albert Joseph Caenepeel in Kansas City, Missouri. He preceded her in death in February 1995.

Alma spent the early years of her life in Oklahoma, moved to NE Kansas City in 1935, then to Laurie in 1997 where she endeared herself to the wonderful and caring staff and friends at the Laurie care center. She was a Homemaker.

Besides her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband.

She is survived by her sister Rene Golden of Grain Valley, Missouri; 3 nephews and their wives, Dallas Golden and Marky of Grain Valley, RC Golden and Mary of Cleveland, Missouri, Jim Golden and Susan of Pleasant Valley, Missouri; 1 niece and her husband Sharon K. Stephens-Davis and Marvin of Sunrise Beach, Missouri; several great nieces and nephews; other relatives and friends.

The family would like to issue a special thank-you to all who cared for Alma.

Cremation has been accorded. A private family memorial service was held at a later date.
