Adam Lloyd "Bacon" Elliott, 21, of Pleasant Hill, Missouri, was born Wednesday, September 23, 1987 in Kansas City, Missouri, the son of Dennis L. Elliott and Kelly S. (Cook) Elliott. He departed this life Tuesday, October 7, 2008 as a result of injuries sustained in an automobile accident near Strasburg, Missouri.

Adam was a lifelong resident of Pleasant Hill and a 2006 Pleasant Hill High School graduate. He was an active member of the Pleasant Hill Future Farmers of America, through which he earned his FFA Chapter Farmer Degree, State FFA Degree in 2006, and the highest honor the FFA American Farmer Degree in 2007. He was a farmer, operating a row-crop operation alongside his father on the family farm.

He was preceded in death by his paternal grandparents, Lloyd and Fern Ann Elliott, and his maternal grandfather Steryl Cook; one uncle Doug Kruse; and one aunt Karen Ware.

He is survived by his mother Kelly Sue Elliott of Pleasant Hill; his father and step-mother Dennis and Carla Elliott of Pleasant Hill; two brothers Benjamin P. Cunningham of Lee's Summit, and Daniel K. Elliott of Pleasant Hill; his sister Corinne S. Elliott of Pleasant Hill; his maternal grandmother Henrietta "Corky" Cook of Freeman; three uncles Dale Elliott of Pleasant Hill, Kevin Cook and Keith Cook both of Freeman; 2 aunts Linda Kruse of Richmond, and Loraine Gardner and Gary of Sacramento, New Mexico.

Funeral services were held Saturday, October 11, 2008, at the Stanley-Dickey Funeral Home. Reverend Tony Reynolds officiated. Interment was in the Pleasant Hill Cemetery. Casket bearers were Corey Flatden, Thomas Hartsell, Anthony Mullin, Ricky Schmoll, Randy Seid, Brandon Shaw, Tyler Springer, Justin Stiffler, and Jason Summers. Honorary casket bearers were Dave Parris and Ron Parris.

Memorial contributions are suggested to the Pleasant Hill Future Farmers of America and may be sent in care of the funeral home.
