Bill Pruett, 74, of Pleasant Hill, Missouri, was born January 12, 1933 in Argentine Kansas, the son of Perry E. and Mabel L. (Martin) Pruett. He departed this life Saturday, May 5, 2007 at his home in Pleasant Hill.

On November 15, 1991 he was united in marriage to Beverly Cunningham.

He owned and operated Northlight Supply a lighting showroom in the Kansas City area. He retired in 1988. He was a United States Army Veteran serving his country from 1953 to 1955.

He was preceded in death by his parents and three brothers.

He is survived by his wife Beverly of the home; a son, Stan Pruett and wife Julie, Kansas City North; a daughter Linda Sharp and husband Bob, Kansas City North; three step daughters, Kimberly Cunningham of Kimberling City, Missouri, Kelly Bryant and husband Stacy, Pleasant Hill, Missouri, Teri Stout and husband Don, Lexington, Missouri; Seven Grandchildren Caitlyn Pruett, Lauren & Blake Sharp, Amber Humfeld, Caleb & Emily Pfaff, and Levi Bryant; two brothers, Kenny Pruett and wife Joyce, Smithville, Missouri, Roy Pruett, Liberty, Missouri; two sisters, Ester Bringe and husband Red, Claycomo, Missouri, Betty Bales, Gladstone, Kansas; other relatives and many friends.

Cremation has been accorded. A memorial service was held Wednesday, May 9, 2007 at the Pleasant Hill United Methodist Church. Reverends Carl Knapp, Bill O'Neal and Kimberly Cunningham officiated.

Memorial Contributions are suggested to the Pleasant Hill United Methodist Building Fund.
